Seed Rakhi - Nurture Your Bond

Have you ever wondered where the Rakhi you tie on your brother’s wrist ends up?
They eventually end up in the dump and contributes to waste as it is not recyclable. The expensive fancy rakhi threads developed out of plastic beads, toxic metal threads and artificial fragrances are non-sustainable and have no utility.

indibni has come up with a unique concept, Organic Seed Rakhi to “nurture your bond’’. Rakhi which eventually will turn into a vegetable plant/flower plant/herb. Made up of naturally dyed, super soft indigenous organic cotton yarn and seeds. The feel is soft, gentle on skin, non-toxic, biodegradable, sustainable, handcrafted with love by women self-help groups.

Raksha Bandhan a thin thread of tradition that binds every brother and sister in a trustworthy bond of love and joy forever. This Rakshabandhan let us make a promise to our dear earth that we will not contaminate it further.
indibni's focus has always been on developing safe, natural and innovative products that wi…

विपश्यना - Nothing is Everything

I had a vision to be in Himalayas, meditating while im turning 30. Eventually it fulfilled as i attended Vipassana meditation course at leh from May 30, 2018 to June 10, 2018. Turned 30 and completed the series 30 Things i experienced before i turned 30 by attaining equanimity.

Vipassana (विपश्यना), which means to see things as they really are, is one of India's most ancient techniques of meditation. It was rediscovered by Gautama Buddha more than 2500 years ago. Its a way of self-transformation through self-observation. It focuses on the deep interconnection between mind and body, which can be experienced directly by disciplined attention to the physical sensations that form the life of the body, and that continuously interconnect and condition the life of the mind.
The course requires hard, serious work. Participants follow a prescribed Code of Discipline. :  https://www.dhamma.org/en/about/code
The foundation of the practice is sīla (शील) — moral conduct. Sīla provides a basis for…

Independence In India | स्वाधीन - पराधीन

Why is the media here so negative? Why are we in India so embarrassed to recognize our own strengths, our achievements?
We are such a great nation. We have so many amazing success stories but we refuse to acknowledge them. WHY? We are the first in milk production. We are number one in Remote sensing satellites. We are the second largest producer of wheat. We are the second largest producer of rice.
Look at Dr. Sudarshan , he has transferred the tribal village into aself-sustaining, self-driving unit. There are millions of such achievements but our media is only obsessed in the bad news and failures and disasters.
I was in Tel Aviv once and I was reading the Israeli newspaper. It was the day after a lot of attacks and bombardments and deaths had taken place. The Hamas had struck. But the front page of the newspaper had the picture of a Jewish gentleman who in five years had transformed his desert into an orchid and a granary. It was this inspiring picture that everyone woke up to. The goryd…

Hi5 Pa - Father's Day

NOTE 5: Hi5 पा

Hi5 Pa, hows you doing,
Its been 10 years now, many things have evolved in these years.

Many people came in my life, play their roles,
Some of those said fate is something beyond our command,
that destiny is not our own, But I know better...
Our fate lives within us. You only have to believe in it!

Pehla Sukh - निर्मल मन, निरोगी तन

Despite the difficulties and the challenges that would cause the most to give up,
there are few who dare to think of the well-being and the care for others, and devote them to the service of society & mankind.
This post is about a woman, who suffered from cancer, but after that, she is not only living her life to its fullest but also inspires many with a different perspective towards life.
In the year 1999, a woman came to know that she is having cancer, and it's difficult for her to survive, as the operation was risky & there was no permanent cure at that time, then she smiled and said:
“Don’t worry doctor I already had 6 operations,
this would be nothing, just an addition to that number”.

She survived and it took 3 years to recover completely, while there was only her willpower that saved her and gave her the strength to overcome.
After that, she decided to devote her life to the cancer patients. Her motive was to break clutter and misconceptions in the society & to spread a…

100% - शत प्रतिशत

Are you sure? 100% sure?

Every day we encounter this question, and we try to respond by yes, no or maybe; The beauty of life is, it has never ending questions, sometimes answers are in choices or sometimes, it's just situations, but we move on.

Ever since I remember about my inquisitive mind and the first set of questions i had in my childhood days like: Why Earth is round?

Why can't I fly? Chakras, Tatvas, Mythology and so on..

I did faced many troubles because of this never ending thrust of knowing everything, felt contentment and emptiness at the same time.
With time I understood, how decision making works, In order to decide what you want, first decide what you don't want, and this methodology worked well with me. My education, career, or life partner are some beautiful examples of it.

Concluding this blog post by quoting a wonderful poem by Swami Vivekananda, which I read in my school and it literally changed the way I perceive everything:

"When I asked God for strengt…
